About this app

MonMon lets you use your smartphone and a basic USB UVC HDMI capture device to add focus peaking capabilities to your DSLR or mirrorless camera. Breathe new life into your aging cameras with manual lenses! Any UVC capable USB device can be used (capture devices, webcams, etc.). Most Android devices made after 2016 that support external USB UVC devices are supported.

I made this app over the course of a few days because I just wanted focus peaking but all the apps I found paywalled the feature.

Features include:
- Peaking threshold control
- Disable peaking
- Show only peaking
- Change peaking color
- Live view pinch zooming and panning

Additional hardware needed you might not have already:
- UVC USB HDMI capture device
These are relatively cheap to find nowadays.
- HDMI cable
- Camera with HDMI output, preferably clean HDMI output
- Adapter to connect the capture device to your phone or tablet, if required
