HostelHome is a secure, cloud-based mobile application designed to digitize and centralize all administrative and operational tasks for campus hostel communities. Serving students, wardens, and housing managers, the platform removes administrative bottlenecks and replaces manual, paper-based workflows with unified digital solutions.

Room Allocation and Management
For students, the app provides instant access to current room and bed assignments alongside a feature to submit formalized room swap requests through the interface. For wardens, the platform provides real-time tracking of room occupancy maps and processes modification requests with automatic, time-stamped log histories to ensure absolute administrative transparency.

Mess and Meal Coordination
Users can review daily mess menus categorized by dietary designations, including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and special configurations. The system enables students to record their meal attendance in advance, allowing mess facilities to audit consumption accurately, optimize inventory preparation, and minimize daily food waste.

Payment Verification Processing
HostelHome provides a mechanism for users to upload digital transmission receipts, such as screenshots or document files from UPI or third-party banking portals, to serve as verification data. Administrators can review, approve, or log comments on these uploaded proofs, updating individual student balance ledgers in real time without processing financial transactions directly inside the software framework.

Centralized Communication and Notice Boards
The platform features a centralized notice board to broadcast operational updates regarding routine maintenance schedules, policy updates, fire drills, or emergency announcements. The application ensures instant message routing via automated notifications alongside a text-searchable archive for historical document retrieval.

Technical Structure and Compliance Declarations
HostelHome employs an offline-first architecture to cache local datasets safely using device internal storage engines, allowing uninterrupted data viewing during network disruptions. The backend enforces end-to-end transport layer encryption and industry-standard database protection protocols, securing all internal endpoints via role-based token authentication.

The software functions independently of external marketing components and operates entirely without advertising SDK configurations, does not request Google Play Advertising Identifiers, and maintains a strict policy against sharing or selling resident information to third-party entities. Furthermore, the platform provides a standardized web portal for account deletion inquiries, ensuring the permanent erasure or absolute anonymization of user credentials and historical media within a 30-day regulatory window.

System Permissions Utilized
Storage and Media Access is required to securely transmit verification documents, transaction records, and user avatars to private application storage buckets. Camera Hardware Access is required exclusively for processing hostel-specific verification QR codes. Network Communication is required to validate authorization tokens and synchronize data structures with secure remote databases.
