WHY HOURS COUNT?
Your Data Stays Yours
We never see your hours. We never see your pay. Everything is stored on your device. We have zero access to your personal data — no analytics, no tracking, no ads. When you choose cloud backup, your data goes to your own secure Firebase account, not to our servers.
Manual & Live Mode
The core of Hours Count. Enter shifts manually after the fact, or tap Live Mode to clock in and out in real time. Breaks tracked precisely — timestamps in Live mode, proportional in Manual mode.
Night Shift, Overtime, Weekends & Bank Holidays
Set your night premium or fixed night rate, overtime threshold and multiplier, weekend and bank holiday rates. The app segments each shift correctly at midnight, night start/end and overtime boundaries to apply the right rate to every hour.
Pay Rules — Match Your Contract
Configure how overlapping bonuses are calculated: Highest rate wins, Base + highest bonus, or Stack all premiums. Your app matches your employment contract exactly.
Accurate UK PAYE Calculations
Income Tax calculated using all UK tax codes (1257L, BR, D0, K codes, Scottish bands and more). National Insurance and Student Loan deductions (Plan 1, 2, 4, 5, Postgraduate) using official HMRC thresholds for 2025/26 and 2026/27, automatically applied based on the date of each shift.
Payslip
Detailed payslip breakdown showing Regular, Overtime, Night, Weekend and Bank Holiday earnings, plus all PAYE deductions. Export as PDF or share directly.
Reports & Export
Generate reports filtered by date range and client. Export to PDF, CSV or Excel. Detailed mode shows per-shift breakdown with all premium categories.
Rate Override
Set a custom hourly rate for any individual shift without changing your default settings.
Your Language
Available in English, Romanian and Polish (Gold plan). The app speaks your language — verify your pay without translation.
