HSBC really has so much to learn from every other banking app, even Cumberland Building Society, (a local building society whose main customers are the elderly) a better app than them. I have no idea who they hired to design this app, but they need fired if they think this kind of shoddy work is acceptable for 2017. I've seen better work from primary school children.
I just spent an hour on the phone trying to get Internet banking the whole farce is ridiculous. I have totally lost track of how many passwords aid memoirs to passwords usernames and PIN numbers I actually have to have before I can do the simplest thing. The only bank with this kind of login is Barclays. Lloyds and NatWest are much easier
App is helpful with online banking however I think it is one of the most difficult mobile banking apps I have ever used! wish it had more resemblance to the Halifax mobile banking app as that is so much easier to navigate around. Also would be helpful if it showed pending transactions aswell! feel I could design a better app and I don't even know where to start! should take notes from other banking apps that are much better
I switched banks so that I wouldn't have to use this app any more. It is a pathetic joke and is worse than some apps made by children in schools. If HSBC's internal systems are built to this standard then keep well away.
I was put off from installing this because of the horrific reviews. However, I have just used it and is absolutely fine and exactly what you'd expect. It didn't amaze me, but it means a can check by balances and transfer money between accounts and to friends.
Even worst than the web page (and it's difficult...) I can't access the app without WiFi!! so I can't create the numeric password to access the web if I haven't WiFi connectivity. Absolutely stupid, basically now I can't operate my account.
