Clunky and needs fingerprint integration App slow, design is seriously phoned in. The thing that is truly annoying is we have all these shiny finger print sensors on out phones but hsbc acts like we don't. Like only iphones deserve attention
Outdated but usable Slow and unresponsive at times, badly misses fingerprint authentication to match its iOS sibling. It does what it sets out to do however.
Woeful That's it, worked once, then an update and it just hangs on logon. Cannot use. EDIT: new version does the same. How an organisation with such wealth can produce this is criminal.
Inadequate All the app does is show you recent transactions and allows you to make payments to people you've already paid. I bank with other banks and their online apps allow you to do so much more! 1 star for hsbc as an organisation
Mobile App Is Behind Other Banks' I use mobile banking apps from two other banks, and HSBC's is by far the worst. Slow updates, slow navigation, painfully uninformative error messages (which are frequent) and painful check deposit experience. I keep an account with HSBC to have options. HSBC is the option of last resort.
Too Inconsistent app functionalities between Countries Common online banking functions like Secure Message and Global Transfer (for Premier Accounts) only on some country app version but not other. These features should be across All territories. Then why can we only Read Secure Message and not Send or Reply to them. Corporate level management needs to justify the whole reason for their position and have these functions unified.
