Win is an anagram word puzzle game where the number of hints you arrive at the final puzzles with is a measure of how efficiently you played the earlier part of the session. Hint management is a session-wide strategy, not just a per-puzzle choice.

A player who burns three hints on the first four puzzles, easy ones they nearly had, arrives at the harder back half of the session with nothing in reserve. A player who resisted the urge to hint early arrives with options when they're genuinely needed.

This dynamic encourages patience and self-belief. Before tapping the hint button, you're implicitly asked whether you really can't solve this without help. Often the answer is that you can, if you shuffle the tiles once more and look again.

The hint counter displayed on screen keeps the remaining budget visible at all times. Watching it tick down creates a sense of resource awareness that's absent in games with infinite assists.
