For Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa functionality, pair your device in SIMPLEconnect® app first.

Google Assistant process: To use your fan with Google Assistant, first, add your device(s) in the SIMPLEconnect® app, then activate Google Assistant.

Amazon Alexa process: To use your fan with Alexa, first, add your device(s) in the SIMPLEconnect® app. Once your fan(s) are added to your SIMPLEconnect® account, activate the Amazon Alexa skill "Hunter – SIMPLEconnect® Smart Ceiling Fan" and enter your SIMPLEconnect® credentials to link your fan to Alexa control.

I bought the fan in 2021. The app at that time worked great and was easy to use. Then someone decided to rewrite it. The new app has not worked correctly since day 1 and is confusing. The fan loses connectivity every 2-3 weeks requiring me to go through the entire set up process each time. Frequently the process wouldn't work at all and I had to use the remote to turn the fan on until they came out with an app update. Now I'm back to it not working at all. Support is worthless.

I didn't get far in the app. Bought a Hunter fan and tried to add it as the first and only device. It's a very convoluted setup, requiring a lot of odd steps (you need to remove a screw on the remote to get to the pairing button!), and then, after it finally got to the point where it should have added the device, it just crashed. Not just once, I tried this 3 times in a row with the same outcome. It's unusable.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having the issues. I just bought 4 fans to replace all the old ones in my house from the previous owner. The first one got connected fine. Moved on to #2, and the app crashed after going through the entire setup, then entering my WIFI password. It would sit there about 10 seconnds then crash. I contacted support, but based on all the reviews I've read, I don't think I will be hearing from them again.
