About this app

Turn every screen activation into a Korean lesson. Lockademy shows you a Korean word every time you turn on your phone: read it, remember it, and go about your day. No need to open any apps or find time to study: the moments you already glance at your phone become dozens of micro-lessons a day.

The sole purpose of this app is to learn Korean on your lock screen. The other screens—word list, statistics, quiz, and settings—exist only to configure and track your lock screen learning.

HOW IT WORKS
• Turn on your screen and a card with a Korean word appears.
• Tap to see the meaning, an example sentence, synonyms, and antonyms.
• Tap "I know it" or "See it again"; smart repetition does the rest.
• Want to learn more? Tap "Ask AI" to explore the word in Google's AI mode: nuances, cultural context, and related expressions (normal Google search where AI mode isn't available).
• Unlock as usual: the card never locks your PIN, pattern, or fingerprint.

NEVER READ HANGUL? START FROM SCRATCH
Still can't read Korean? 한글's built-in course teaches you the alphabet itself: each vowel and consonant with a mnemonic and audio, step-by-step syllable construction (ㅎ + ㅏ + ㄴ = 한), ending batchim, and the actual pronunciation rules—합니다 is pronounced "hamnida," and flashcards show you why. Choose "I still can't read Hangul" the first time you open the app, and you'll start right there.

SMART REVIEW THAT NEVER FORGETS
Leitner Spaced Repetition (SRS) brings each word back just before you forget it: 1 hour → 1 day → 3 days → 7 days → 30 days. The words you master are spaced out; the ones you miss come back sooner. Your daily streak and stats keep you motivated.

QUIZ MODE
Switch the card to Quiz mode and choose the correct meaning from four options. Instant feedback, hints, and percentage of correct answers help you improve. In the Korean course, the quiz practices letters: form syllables from their parts and match each letter with its sound.

20,000 TOPIK WORDS
Vocabulary selected from the official list of the National Institute of Korean Language and the TOPIK public vocabulary guides, from beginner to advanced levels (TOPIK 1–6). Each word includes romanization, grammatical category, a natural example sentence, and synonyms/antonyms. Explore the full list, search, and save your favorites.
