About this app

Every time you turn on your screen becomes a Korean lesson. Lockademy shows you a Korean word every time you turn on your phone—read, memorize, swipe. No need to open an app, no need to set aside time: the moments you already spend unlocking your phone become dozens of micro-lessons every day.

The sole purpose of this app is to learn Korean on your lock screen. Everything else—word browser, statistics, quizzes, and settings—exists solely to configure and track that lock screen learning experience.

How it works
• Turn on the screen—a Korean word card appears.
• Tap to see meanings, example sentences, synonyms, and antonyms.
• Select "I know this" or "Show again"—Smart Repetition takes care of the rest.
• Want to learn more? Tap Ask AI to understand the word in depth in Google AI Mode — nuances, cultural context, and related expressions (normal Google search where AI Mode isn't available).
• Unlock as usual. The card never blocks your PIN, pattern, or fingerprint.

Don't know how to read Hangul yet? Start from scratch.
Can't read Korean yet? The built-in 한글 course teaches you the alphabet itself: with every vowel and consonant mnemonic, step-by-step letter formation (ㅎ + ㅏ + ㄴ = 한), the last consonant, and the actual pronunciation rule — 합니다 is called "hamnida," and cards show you why. Select "I don't know how to read Hangul yet" when you first open the app, and it starts right there.

Smart Review That Never Forgets
Leitner Spaced Repetition brings back every word just before you're about to forget it: 1 hour → 1 day → 3 days → 7 days → 30 days. Words you learn get pushed back; those you miss come back quickly. Statistics on your streak and progress keep you motivated.

Quiz Mode
Turn the card over in a quiz and choose the correct meaning from four options. Instant feedback, hints, and a quiz-accuracy statistic to help you beat them. The quizzes in the 한글 course provide letter practice: assemble letters from parts and match each letter to its sound.

20,000 TOPIK Words
The vocabulary is selected from the National Korean Language Institute's learner word list and public TOPIK guidelines, covering every level (TOPIK 1–6) from beginner to advanced. Each word comes with Romanization, spelling, a natural example sentence, and synonyms/antonyms. Browse the entire word list, search, and favorite words to look them up again.
