Turn every screen time into a Korean lesson. Lockademy displays a Korean word every time you turn on your phone — read, remember, and swipe. No apps to open, no time to prepare: the time you spend unlocking your phone is already spent learning dozens of mini lessons a day.

The sole purpose of this app is to learn Korean on your lock screen. Everything else — the word browser, statistics, quizzes, and settings — exists solely to customize and track your learning experience on that lock screen.

How it works

• Mark "I know this word" or "Show again" — smart repetition will handle the rest
• Want to know more? Tap Ask AI to search for that word on Google — for deeper meaning, cultural context, and related expressions
• Unlock as usual. This card never blocks your PIN, pattern, or fingerprint

Don't know how to read Hangul? Start from scratch
Don't know how to read Korean? The included 한글 course teaches you the alphabet itself: every vowel and consonant, along with memory tricks, step-by-step syllable combinations (ㅎ + ㅏ + ㄴ = 한), closed consonants (batchim), and real pronunciation rules — 합니다 is pronounced "hamnida," and the cards show you why. Select "I don't know how to read Hangul yet" when you first open the app, and it'll start right there.

Smart review that never forgets
Repetition with Leitner intervals brings each word back the moment you forgot it: 1 hour → 1 day → 3 days → 7 days → 30 days. Words you know move backward; words you get wrong move forward faster. Consecutive days and your progress statistics help keep you motivated.

Quiz mode
Flip the card to Quiz and choose the correct meaning from four options. Instant feedback, hints, and quiz accuracy statistics help you win. On the 한글 course, practice quiz questions: Combine syllables from their parts and match each letter to its sound.

20,000 TOPIK words
Vocabulary selected from the National Institute of Korean Language's learner's word list and public TOPIK guidelines, covering all levels from beginner to advanced (TOPIK 1–6). Each word comes with a Latin script, word type, natural example sentences, and synonyms/antonyms. Explore the entire word list, search, and favorite words for future reference.
