Organizing a group event means raising money—and having to account for it.
TranspaEvent replaces notebooks, spreadsheets, and nightly summaries sent via WhatsApp with a shared ledger that everyone can view in real time.
HOW IT WORKS
A coordinator records the contributions received and the expenses incurred. All members see the same figures, updated instantly. No one can change an amount without it being reflected.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Record contributions in US dollars or Congolese francs — the amount received and the exchange rate applied are saved, so everyone can see the amount they contributed.
• Distribute data entry among several people: treasurer and collectors can record from Kinshasa, Europe, or elsewhere.
• Distinguish between committed and paid amounts: the screen displays the cash on hand, the amounts already pledged, and what is actually available.
• Photograph expense receipts.
• Choose who sees what with visibility groups: close family doesn't have the same access as acquaintances.
• Communicate in a members-only chat.
• Broadcast an announcement to everyone at once.
• Receive a notification for every transaction.
• At closing, get a time-stamped PDF report, tailored to each recipient's group.
NO PAYMENTS WITHIN THE APP
TranspaEvent does not collect or transfer any funds. The money remains with the event treasurer. The app serves solely as a record: it logs what has been received and spent outside of its system, so that everyone can verify it.
WHO IS IT FOR?
For families and communities organizing funerals, weddings, baptisms, or any fundraising event—both locally and within the diaspora.
Born from a true story: three Excel files sent daily from Kinshasa, praised by all for their transparency. TranspaEvent has turned this into a tool.
Every contribution, every expense, visible to everyone in real time.
