Swimmingly Timer can be used by clubs using Swimmingly as in-app timing/officiating/scoring for their swim meets. The app is cross-platform with (4) roles: Starter, Timers, Judges, and Scorekeeper.

The timer role is currently supported on Android.

V11 includes:
All new connectivity - Swimmingly WiFi is no longer required. Connect your device to any WiFi available. Your Swimmingly timer will communicate with the other Swimmingly devices in-app over WiFi, cell, Bluetooth, and more!

No matter your pool cell/WiFi coverage, devices on the app sync like magic!

I have used my Android phone for timing summer swim meets for 5 years. I have never had a problem with the app and my phone until this summer. I couldn't scan the required qr code to log in as a timer. In the past it had been a numerical code rather than a qr code. The back up phone (Apple) would not scan the qr code. Very disappointed with the current version of this app.

Swimmingly wouldn't get past the 4 digit code. I had location permissions enabled and was wifi connected with password entered but it just sat there swirling at the code screen for 10 minutes. A reinstall didn't help. Everyone using ios was able get it to work but not if you have Android. Embarrassing.

6/13/23 swim meet. Camera function didnt work to connect for swim meet. Even after uninstall and reinstall and verifying permissions. Still didn't work on Samsung. While I'm at it, why doesn't the app allow for judging function on Android? Ridiculous.
