About this app

Stream your self-hosted audiobook collection directly to your pocket.

Volume is a dedicated audiobook player designed to connect directly to your self-hosted Jellyfin and Plex media servers. There is no middleman, no cloud middleware, and absolutely no telemetry or tracking. Just you, your server, and your library.

šŸ“– Why Volume?
I built Volume because I wanted a beautiful, native client that connects directly to my Jellyfin server without sacrificing the modern conveniences of a premium audiobook player. Built as an indie project, Volume treats your media exactly how it should be treated: privately and directly.

✨ Features You’ll Love:
Direct Server Connection: Connect instantly to your Jellyfin or Plex server. Stream on the fly or download books for offline listening on commutes or flights.
Material Expressive UI: Built on Google’s latest design guidelines, Volume features a gorgeous, fluid user interface that fully respects system light and dark modes.
Dynamic Material You Theme: The app adapts to you. The interface pulls color palettes dynamically from your system theme or the cover art of the audiobook you are currently playing.
Advanced Playback Controls: Adjust playback speed to your preference, easily skip back and forward, and navigate seamlessly using fully parsed chapter markers.
Smart Sleep Timer: Fall asleep to your favorite stories. Set a sleep timer with a subtle, beautiful countdown chip showing exactly how much time is left.
Offline First: Download your audiobooks directly to your device storage for seamless playback when you're off the grid.
Private & Ad-Free: No tracking, no data harvesting, no analytics platforms, and no ads.
Chapter Support: Jellyfin doesn't support Chapters, but Volume will automatically parse them out of the m4b files for you.
