About this app

Cometfly draws visuals that move with whatever your phone is playing. Spotify, YouTube Music, a podcast or a video in another app: if it makes a sound, the picture follows it.

It plays MilkDrop presets, the format hundreds of artists have been making music visuals in for over twenty years. Pick a free pack from inside the app (Cream of the Crop alone has 9,791 presets) or import your own .milk files and zips.

What it does
• Reacts to any app's audio, or to the room through the microphone
• Downloads free preset packs in one tap, or imports your own
• A library with thumbnails, search and folders that stays quick with tens of thousands of presets
• Likes, and lists of your newest and most played
• Your screen's full refresh rate, up to 120 frames per second, easing off the resolution before your phone gets hot
• Four simple moods for pace, picture and music
• Portrait or landscape

Cometfly Pro, unlocked once, adds:
• Playlists of your own
• A player made to match: each song's cover, in its colours, with play, pause and skip
• Advanced tuning: every dial, from resolution to transitions

No account and no tracking. The sound is analysed on your phone and never leaves it.

What’s new

- Now syncs to Bluetooth automatically: the visuals wait for your earbuds or speaker, so they hit on the beat.
- Fixes the visuals flashing on quiet moments after a quiet start.
