I love the concept. The first couple times it worked great, then they updated the app. Now it drops constantly, ends the ride, says Bluetooth is disconnected when it isn't, and shouldn't have anything to do with the app. My fellow Hytch riders are having the same issues. We ride the train to/from work so we're daily users. I'm ready to give up on it.

I'm all for the idea but I agree with other users that for it to work for me, I need to be able to network with strangers. I'd personally be willing to let Hytch do a background check to keep things safe. It would be helpful to be able to rate/report both drivers and passenger, again for safety. I'd love to be able to open Hytch, type in a beginning and ending location and see nearby travelers (whether drivers or passengers) planning to head the same direction at roughly the same time. Thanx!!

Sadly this is still a location tracking only service. Eliminating any sense of autonomy which is a vital aspect of individual privacy. Further, to say it in the best interest in the public is false sense of security. Our first responders should be determining what is in the best interest or safety of the public not an application. In conclusion, meaning their security measures are over reaching and segregate an entire section of the public who realize the phone and the technology is a tool.
