Everything went well when ordering the card until returning to the confirmation page after snagging the confirmation number from the app's text message. As I entered the first number of the sequence onto the confirmation page the page went to some other page and I couldn't find it again. After four failed attempts, I captured the number in the few seconds the text flashed up on my screen, without leaving the conformation page. I was able to enter the number and the purchase was confirmed! Yeah!!

buying a card from the app - didn't work, had to do it on the web. "QR code as a ticket experience" in Amsterdam is flawed. Readers don't react (somewhat expected), but worse, they can trigger NFC of your phone accidentally. So I paid twice a multiple times. Came to the Iamsterdam point in the central station and asked for the physical card instead. Got rejected by the personnel with no consideration - nothing can be done.

The card was recognised everywhere we went and overall a money saver. Some issues with access - make sure you get WiFi in your hotel, bring the card up, turn mobile data off, and then it should appear at the location easily. Had issues if mobile data left on. Overall good experience but paper might have been slightly less hassle. Pre booking time slots online worked well but some popular locations sold out. Not all popular attractions included in the ticket.
