About this app

Ibaloi Translator is an offline dictionary and translator for Ibaloi, an indigenous language of the Cordillera region in northern Philippines (Benguet province). Built as a language-preservation project, the app brings the Ibaloi Language to every phone, free of charge.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Search a dictionary of 1,600+ Ibaloi entries with English glosses, parts of speech, tense tags, and example sentences.
• View full inflection paradigms: pronouns, verb focus forms, possessive clitics, and common affixes.
• Translate short phrases and sentences offline, using a layered engine: hand-written phrase templates, verified dictionary examples, pronoun-substitution patterns, and a parallel corpus fallback.
• Explore a built-in grammar reference covering pronouns, affixes, and paradigm tables.

Everything runs on your device. No account, no sign-in, no internet connection required once the app is installed.

WHY IT EXISTS

Ibaloi is classified as an endangered language, with fewer active speakers each generation. Existing print resources are scarce and hard to access outside the Cordillera. This app puts a rigorously sourced, free, offline dictionary and translator directly in your pocket.

No Ibaloi content is generated or invented — every entry traces back to a verified source.

PRIVACY

The app works fully offline. The only data that leaves your device is feedback you explicitly submit through the in-app "Give feedback" form — and the name and email fields there are optional. See the in-app Privacy Policy for full details.

part of your daily set, right alongside the word quiz.
