The Saskatchewan Highway Hotline app provides near real-time highway and traffic information to drivers to help them safely plan their route. This includes information on construction, incidents, road closures, and weather alerts on roads across the province.

This app features a scrollable, zoomable map that displays:

• Road Conditions
• Incidents and closures, such as collisions and other road hazards
• Cameras
• Construction
• Road Closures
• Weather alerts

The app also features audio alerts that notify drivers of incidents, construction, road closures, and other road events.

Ratings and reviews

There are paid ads on radio and TV to use this app but it is consistently not updated so it doesn't provide the service it claims to. right now it is 15 hours out of date and the information from last night is inaccurate. Garbage! good idea but rendered worthless by whoever runs it.

It is not user friendly . It is too wiggly and wonky. I don't know how I did it, but I got a web based highway hotline on my android phone, and it is awesome. You can save your route maps and it opens up directly when you click on the "Old icon". You can choose satellite image or plain map. It is user friendly. OK ... Update ... 511 Web opens up the good, user friendly site.

Really great app. When it first loads up it is set for you to see the speed of traffic on the roads, but there is an icon in the right top corner of the map (looks like a square), if you tap on it.. you can toggle what you'd like to see. This is where you can switch on road conditions. This is really nicely done. Easy to tap on construction alerts, cameras... all sorts of things to give you a good idea of what to expect on the roads when you head out. Great app!
