About this app

Wird is your daily companion with the Quran: a complete mushaf with tafsir, translation and recitation; authentic adhkar; accurate prayer times with the adhan; a qibla compass; a tasbih counter; and a daily reading goal — in one calm, beautiful app with no ads and no account.

This app is a waqf (endowment) — an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) on behalf of Ismail bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Aldulaijan, may Allah have mercy on him, and his descendants. Everything in it is completely free, forever.

📖 THE MUSHAF
• Complete Quran in the Hafs narration (604 pages), rendered in the King Fahd Complex mushaf script
• Touch and hold any verse to read its translation (Saheeh International in English; Jalandhry in Urdu, or Junagarhi with Salahuddin Yusuf's Ahsan al-Bayan notes; the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in Indonesian) and At-Tafsir Al-Muyassar in Arabic
• Recitation by Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy: the verse glows as it is recited, and playback continues with the screen off
• Recitation needs an internet connection — or download a surah or the whole Quran to listen offline
• Search the Quran: a surah, or words from a verse
• Navigate by surah, juz, or page number; bookmarks keep your place
• Adjustable text size and comfortable reading themes (light, dark, sepia)
• Read the mushaf in landscape on your phone, or as a two-page spread on a tablet held sideways

🔒 YOUR PRIVACY IS SAFE
Wird collects no personal data whatsoever. Your reading, bookmarks and stats are stored on your device only. Reminders are fully local notifications scheduled on-device. Location is used on your device to compute prayer times, the qibla direction and the matching calculation method; Wird never sends it to any server (Android's location service looks up your city and country). Recitation audio streams from Islamic Network with no personal identifiers. No ads, no tracking, no accounts.
Once your location is set, everything works without an internet connection, except playing recitation you haven't downloaded.
