Federal Bid Alerts — Federal contract opportunities, filtered by the words your business uses.
SAM.gov publishes every federal opportunity, and its own search is built around NAICS and set-aside codes rather than the phrase a supplier actually sells. So small vendors either pay a bid-matching service or scroll a list that never ends.
WHAT IT DOES
• Type the phrases you bid on and be told when a new opportunity mentions one
• Filter by NAICS code, agency and set-aside when you want to narrow it further
• Each alert carries the agency, the solicitation number, the response deadline and a direct link
• The place of performance is shown, so out-of-state work can be dropped at a glance
• Filtering happens on your phone; your keyword list is not sent anywhere
• It reads the public opportunity feed only — it never bids and never registers you
HOW YOU SET IT UP
You create one watch — for example “network access control, NAICS 541512” — and close the app. At the interval you choose it checks newly posted federal contract opportunities; when an opportunity matching your words is posted your phone gets a notification. It never tells you about the same thing twice. If checking breaks (server down, page changed) it says so instead of dying quietly. Settings shows how many bytes each check costs. Light and dark theme.
WHO IT IS FOR
Small US suppliers and contractors selling to federal agencies.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• It does NOT submit a bid, does not register your entity and does not upload documents. It points you at the notice; you respond on SAM.gov yourself.
• It does NOT sign in and never asks for your UEI, CAGE code or SAM.gov credentials.
• You never sign in. The app has no accounts, so there is no password to forget.
• It collects no personal data. The developer runs no server, and there is no analytics or crash-reporting library in the app.
• Six ad formats appear in the free tier: banner, interstitial, rewarded, rewarded interstitial, app open, plus an “Ad”-labelled card in your watch list. You will not meet an interstitial while the app is opening, and a rewarded interstitial is always announced first with a Skip option. Membership turns the whole ad layer off.
• No ongoing notification is left behind in the background.
WHAT IT COVERS
Every contract opportunity published on SAM.gov's public opportunity search: solicitations, sources sought, presolicitations and award notices. Classified and restricted postings are not published there and so cannot be watched here. Registration in SAM, the bid itself and any representations you make are done on SAM.gov by you.
PRIVACY
Everything about the contract words you follow stays on this phone. The developer runs no server, so there is nowhere for it to be sent. Permissions requested: network state, internet, notifications, letting the ads library tell Wi-Fi from mobile data, restarting watches after a reboot, vibration, keeping the phone awake while a check runs, buying a paid membership through Google Play and ads in the free tier.
LIMITS — honestly
• Android may delay background checks to save battery. The interval you pick is a target, not a guarantee.
• Very frequent checking is deliberately limited out of respect for SAM.gov, a public service run for federal agencies.
Where the data comes from: sam.gov. Nothing behind a login is read.
Federal Bid Alerts is an independent app. It is not developed, endorsed or supported by the General Services Administration or any contracting office.
