About this app

iCatcher Scoreboard Control runs your iCatcher LED scoreboard from a phone or tablet over local Wi-Fi. Scores, timers, shot clocks and on-board ads all live in the app. No cables or extra software needed. Used by sports clubs, community venues and event operators.

SPORTS SUPPORTED
• AFL: goals, points, totals and quarter display
• Basketball: scores, game timer and shot clock
• Hockey: scores, game timer and shot clock
• Soccer: scores and game timer
• Rugby: scores and game timer
• Cricket: runs, wickets, extras, overs and balls

SCORING
Tap + or − to change the score. Updates go to the board the moment you tap. Scores save on the device and reset after 12 hours of inactivity, so you start each game from zero.

TIMER & SHOT CLOCK
One-tap controls for start, pause, stop and reset. Pick any duration. Switch between count-up and count-down. Basketball and Hockey have a separate shot clock alongside the game timer.

TEAM NAMES
Type home and away names on any scoring screen. Adjust text size, colour and alignment to match your board. Names save on the device.

ADVERTISEMENTS
Build up to 5 ad slots, each with up to 4 rows of text. Set size, colour and alignment per row. Play Ads cycles them on the board; Return to Scores switches back. Ads stay saved between app updates.

DISPLAY SETUP
Enter your scoreboard's pixel dimensions once in Settings. Text formats to your board's size. Works with standard, ultra-wide and single-colour displays.

DEMO MODE
No scoreboard handy? Turn on Demo Mode to try every feature without one. Useful for training new operators before game day.

LAPTOP MODE
For venues running iCatcher Laptop software. Scores and timers go to the controller as counter and timer commands. Page Mapping picks which display page loads for each sport and ad.

RELIABLE & PRIVATE
Settings, team names and ads stay on your device. No accounts or subscriptions, and no internet connection needed. Everything runs over your local Wi-Fi. The app does not collect or share personal data.

BASIC SETUP

Connect: Power on the scoreboard, join the same Wi-Fi on your device, tap Connect to Scoreboard. The button turns green when ready.

Start scoring: Tap Select Sport, choose your sport, tap Open Scoring, then use + and − to update scores.

Set team names: Tap the Home or Away field on any scoring screen and type the name.

Use the timer: Tap Set Time, enter a duration, choose Count Down or Count Up, then tap ▶ to start.

Create an ad: Tap + New Ad, choose row count, enter text, set size/colour/alignment, tap Save.

Play ads: Select the ads you want, tap Play Ads. Tap Return to Scores to go back to the game.
