I have a question to ICEsoft: when I install the app on my mobile, do I need to confirm the mobil number or the app can sense the mobile number and verify it. Right now I installed it, I am in the Okanagan-Similkamen area where we have a major fire. So far I did not get any alert, so I do not know if there is no alert or the app does not function. It would be nice to have a function to verify that the app is working after the installation. Steve Fekete, Oliver, BC

Hi Steve,
Voyent Alert! notifies people based on the location or address that you used when you registered .
Communities and regional districts will often target alerts to specific evacuation alert and order zones. If you aren't in that specific zone established by the issuer you may not receive an alert. customer.support@voyent-alert.com

I am forced to use this app as my emergency alert app by my regional district in BC. It has a loud alarm when an alert comes in. Which is great when you are being evacuated. Not so good when your back home and back on alert and it goes off because the neighboring area can now go home. Giving me a small heart attack while at work cause I think I'm being evacuated again. This app has plenty of room for improvement. Which I hope they do or gets replaced with something that does suck so much.

I have had this app for years- my city is currently under high stream flow warning as I can see on the screen or my peer that just downloaded it- my app says "no active alerts" "no ended alerts". I hate the fact that this app provides a false sense of security. Just re-download hoping it will update.
