About this app

The Swachhata-MoHUA is the official app of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs(MoHUA), GOI.

The app enables a citizen to post a civic-related issue (eg; a garbage dump) which is then forwarded to the city corporation concerned and thereafter assigned to the sanitary inspector of the particular ward.
The app has been redeveloped by CMS Computers.

How does it work?

Take a picture of the Civic-related issue using your smart phone, and post it in one of the following categories.

・Garbage dump
・Garbage vehicle not arrived
・Dustbins not cleaned
・Sweeping not done
・Dead animals
・Public toilet(s) cleaning
・Public toilet(s) blockage
・No water supply in public toilet(s)
・No electricity in public toilet(s)

The app will capture the location while the picture is being taken. Just type in the landmark of the complaint location. The complaint will then be assigned to the concerned sanitary inspector/engineer.

You can also vote up on any other complaint relevant to you. You will get regular updates on status of the complaint in the form of a push notification with the ‘Resolved’ image uploaded by the assigned sanitary inspector/engineer.
You can also reopen the complaint if you are not satisfied with the resolution of the complaint.

New Feature:
1. Don’t like what you posted? No problem! Our new feature now allows you to edit or delete your complaint. You can also post complaints by uploading photo from your phone’s Photo Gallery and then add the location of the complaint in our Swachhata App!!

2. Engineer can Login to Swachhata-MoHUA app feature.

Ratings and reviews

Things that need to be fixed: 1. Your drop down menu does not open the last options. 2. The Citizen can not comment on his/her own complaint. 3. The app does not verify whether the work is done or not, the worker uploads the fake images and changes the status of applications.

app can't click pictures now and without uploading pics you can't register complaint. so it's simple, when you can raise complaint and there will be no issues. even after allowing all the permissions, app is asking to allow permissions to take pic. App developer pls make the necessary changes to make this app usable.

​"Stuck on 'On Job' forever. This app is great at taking complaints but terrible at finishing them. My request has been 'In Progress' for days with zero movement on the ground. It feels like the staff just clicks the button to stop the timer so they don't get in trouble, while the actual waste remains exactly where it was. Please fix the ground-level execution!"
