About this app

Memorize anything with AnkiDroid!

AnkiDroid lets you learn flashcards very efficiently by showing them just before you would forget. It is fully compatible with the spaced repetition software Anki (including synchronization), which is available for Windows/Mac/Linux/ChromeOS.

Study all sorts of things wherever and whenever you want. Make good use of idle times on bus trips, in supermarket queues or any other waiting situation!

Pretty good balance of user friendliness and power user options. 1 simple request: I wish it had better sync options. An option to automatically sync my reviews on app switching or in the middle of a review session would be awesome. Syncing on app start/exit doesn't cut it since if I leave a session open, it won't sync. A much more ambitious request: compatibility with add-ons like "Smarter Study Ahead"

Hi there! We contemplated other sync options deeply. Unfortunately there is no technical ability from mobile platforms to do things like sync on exit or similar because the platform always reserves the right to kill the app at any time. Unfortunately for add-ons https://github.com/ankidroid/Anki-Android/wiki/FAQ#i-want-add-ons-in-ankidroid

Very nice flash card program, with a wide variety of pre-existing cards, as well as a sophisticated templating system for designing and adding your own card decks. Also, the "spaced repetition" memory techniques employed by the app are the best I've seen! (Just don't get tempted to do more than 20 cards on your first day!)

When I first started using the Anki system I was like "oh seriously, 20? I can do 50 probably". I only had a couple decks, should be fine right? Oh boy that hurt in the second week as it snowballed. Yeah, 20 is a reasonable default ;-).

I really like Anki but I don't know why they have to stick to the old 90s computer layout. I wish they could just optimize the interface, it would really help with efficiency and accessibility. It took me too long to learn how to simply delete a specific card, or code certain card types. Although there is a ton of potential with card customization, It feels extremely inaccessible.
