About this app

The TOF app, an Android app dedicated to supporting the Trees Outside Forests (TOF) expansion, was developed under the TOFI program. This app is envisaged to be a sophisticated, user-friendly, and cutting-edge mobile app for potential tree growers, providing details about sustainable agroforestry practices, systems, and models, major tree species, tree planting guidance, and site-specific tree cultivation suggestions.
It will also have additional functionalities, such as the nearest nursery locator, a QR/Bar code generator for trees, a market information system (MKIS) for price trend and demand-supply analysis for most traded commodities, extension materials in native languages, tree geotagging, a redirect to the TOF call center, and artificial intelligence (AI) & generative pre-trained transformers (GPT)-powered ‘Chatbot’ function. The app supports Assamese, Hindi, English, Odia, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
