The "Citizen App" has been launched by Excise Department, Rajasthan for enable consumers of liquors and beers to authenticate the bottle by scanning the QR Code printed on Hologram affixed on bottle of liquor or beer purchased from liquor shop or bar of Rajasthan that the bottle is genuine and reached to consumer through proper channel after paying due Government levies bottle. The App will give the details like Brand Name, Pack Size, Batch No, Manufacturing Date, MRP of the bottle if, QR Code is found correct. Consumer can verify this detail with the details of bottle purchased. If, QR Code is not matched with Excise Department, Rajasthan it will give Invalid QR Code which means that Hologram is not valid for Excise Department, Rajasthan.
