Fly fishing has a learning curve. IdentaFly is built to shorten it — whether you're just starting out or you've been reading water for decades.

- Match the Hatch
The Hatch Forecast uses your location to show what's likely hatching nearby. See a bug on the water and not sure what it is? Compare it against quality images right in the app. Works offline too, so no signal isn't a problem.

- Public Lands
Knowing where to step foot or anchor up is important to keep track of. Browse maps and land designation before your trip, then save offline maps with overlays to get the information you need anytime, anywhere. Just keep in mind that just because it's public, doesn't mean it's accessible, so always double check before you go.

- Waters & River Conditions
Know before you go. Browse fishing reports, see recommended fly patterns for specific waters, and check live conditions — CFS, temperature, and turbidity — so you're not guessing when you show up at the bank.

BONUS: Save your favorite gage stations to your home screen widget for a quick check before you head out.

- Catchtivity
Log your catches, map them by location, and filter by pattern, date, or water. It's a fishing journal that's actually useful to look back on.

I just recently installed this app. Although the format and concept is interesting, the app is very buggy and practically unusable.It will freeze your phone and make everything start flashing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it's still buggy. Unless the developers fix this , I would not recommend it. It is really useless and a waste of money.

As a seasoned flyfisherman and tyer I downloaded this to see how useful it would be to any entry level or learning fly angler. I find even after 15+yrs exclusively fly Angling theres still ample learning opportunity for me as well. I find the app to be very accurate in learning some of the many patterns available to represent the different macroinvertebrates and other species fish prey upon.

so many wonderful aspects about this app you wouldnt believe! real time flows and boundaries have been absolutely amazing. made getting access and fishing 10x better!
