Iris: a chat app for your own Hermes agent
Iris is a mobile client for the Hermes AI agent that runs on your own server. Your conversations, memory and tools stay on a machine you control. Iris is the window you watch it through and talk to it from your phone.
You need a Hermes server to use Iris. Sign in with the address and credentials of your own dashboard. If you want to look around first, Demo mode lets you try the app with sample conversations and no server.
Watch the agent work
Iris shows what your agent is doing as it happens. You see its reasoning, each tool it calls with the arguments and output, and the reply as it's written. A small living orb shows its state at a glance: thinking, working, writing, done or offline. You can stop a run at any time.
Stay in control
- Approve or deny risky actions before the agent takes them.
- Answer its questions, sign in to services, and enter codes when it asks.
- Choose what happens when you send a message during a reply: queue it, steer the run, or interrupt it.
- Undo the last turn, compress a long conversation, or branch it into a new one.
Made for everyday use
- Switch models and set reasoning effort and fast mode from the chat.
- Run slash commands, with suggestions as you type.
- Attach photos and files, or dictate a message by voice.
- Read replies with full Markdown: code blocks you can copy, tables, task lists, footnotes, and maths typeset in TeX.
- Search your conversations, pin the ones you return to, and delete or archive the rest.
- See your usage and provider limits at a glance.
- Manage several agent profiles and several servers.
Looks and feels native
Iris has ten colour skins, each in light and dark. It supports reduced motion, large text and screen readers, and the layout adapts from small phones to tablets.
Private by design
Iris talks only to the server you point it at. There are no accounts with us, no ads and no analytics. Sign-in details are kept in the device's secure storage. The privacy policy and support page are linked from the app.
