ABOUT

Sirena is a free, offline civil protection app designed to help Lithuanian residents respond effectively to emergency alerts.

When a national alert is triggered, Sirena immediately provides a clear, step-by-step action plan—depending on the type of danger: air hazard (yellow, red), radiation threat, fire, or flood. All scenarios work entirely offline, so the app will help you even if your connection is down.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THE APP

• Action plans. Five separate scenarios (red, yellow, nuclear, fire, flood) with clear instructions, a countdown timer, and continuous updates until the threat has passed.
• Shelter Map. More than 10,000 PAGD-approved shelters and safe havens throughout Lithuania—works offline. If there’s no shelter nearby, the app will suggest a plan for taking cover on-site.
• Family Contact. Specify a meeting place, add up to 5 close contacts, and send an SMS message with a single tap to let them know you’re safe.
• LRT Radio. Live LRT Radio broadcasts and FM frequencies throughout Lithuania—official announcements are always accessible.
• Fully integrated support for 4 languages: Lithuanian, English, Russian, and Ukrainian.

WHY SIRENA

Shortcomings identified in Lithuania’s civil protection system—app crashes during high traffic, locked shelters, and a lack of support for other languages—have shown that a reliable, offline-capable tool is needed. Sirena was created precisely for this purpose.

The app is independent—it is NOT a product of a government agency. Data on shelters is obtained from the Fire and Rescue Department (PAGD) and lt72.lt.

YOUR DATA

Sirena has no user accounts and no server. Your family contacts and meeting location are stored only on your device. The app does not collect or transmit personal data without your knowledge.
