About this app
This application allows you to view information on terrestrial and marine wildlife of the Canary Islands, registered in the Biodiversity Data Bank of the Canary Islands (BDBC). Each species has a tab where all known information of each clump as: taxonomy, endemism, images, insular distribution, etc.
You can also view maps richness of species groups by grids of 500 x 500 m, which will be displayed in a directory that the user can select and view.
If you are validated user contributes to improving knowledge of biodiversity of the islands by recording and synchronizing the Biodiversity Data Bank of Canarias images and points distribution of wild species, with particular attention to endangered, protected and exotic species. The information will be assigned to a document "reference expert" automatically with the user's name, title, and species data that you have transferred to subsequent validation by the scientific supervisor.
This application provides:
- query interface touch screen.
- Integration of GPS position.
- Consultation over 21,000 terrestrial and marine species in the Canary Islands.
- Catalog of maps of species richness.
- Registration of species in real time or delayed depending on the availability of coverage.
- Export of captured records (KMZ, csv and BDBC) using your mobile unit applications (email, Dropbox, etc).
