Deuxlangue is a choice-driven text adventure game that teaches you French vocabulary naturally as you play.

A letter from an old friend leads you to the sleepy French village of Deuxlangue, where mystery awaits. Follow the adventures of you, as you explore the seemingly charming streets of rural France and uncover a somewhat intriguing conspiracy.

FEATURES
=========
• An award-winning* story full of twists and turns.
• Multiple endings and branching paths depending on your choices (and your ability)
• Hundreds of French words to learn, learned naturally during the course of the story.
• 'Quick translate.' Don't know what a word means in English? Tap it and find out.
• Want to add a word to your personal list? Tap again and refer to it whenever you please.
• Occasionally witty writing.

BACKGROUND
============
Made as an experimental supplement to traditional language learning apps like Duolingo and Memrise, this game teaches vocabulary through story and context instead of endless drills and repetition.

You get to make some decisions, you get to learn some French vocabulary, I get a tiny bit of money, everybody wins.

With multiple narrative paths and hundreds of French words to learn, Deuxlangue is sure to be the hippest, hoppest most happening game on this particular app store listing page.

"Too often do games that focus on learning borrow only the shallow competitive and social elements from traditional video games. This game strives towards the noble goal of alternative gamification: using an involving narrative and player agency as incentive to discover its educational content." - One of the reviews I will surely receive, 2019.

*Winner of the 'United Kingdom's Best Story in a French Learning Text Adventure Game for Android 2019' award - which to be fair, if it existed, this game would probably be the only nominee and therefore might stand a reasonable chance at snagging first place.

I love this idea! Bit of a slow start - but once you get through the prologue (5 minutes) then the choices start to matter. Learned about 30 words so far and not been playing very long. Story seems interesting and quite funny, trying to savour it so I can learn gradually. Subtracting a star because feels a bit laggy in some spots but doesn't really matter with a text adventure.

Surprisingly actually really good and a very different way to learn some vocabulary that's pretty fun at times. Well worth the money for something different to Duolingo for a change. Little slow sometimes just after making a decision but the story kept me going through, enough to learn a few hundred words. I've done a fair bit of French already but would be great for beginners too.😀🇫🇷

Really fun. I already knew a few of the words but did learn a bunch of new ones. I'd honestly love to learn vocabulary this way more often. There were a few bugs - french words not offering translations, english word "son" offering translation (that one was honestly just funny though) but overall very well made.
