About this app

Being named an executor is a job nobody trains you for. Executor Kit is a calm, private place to keep track of it — what has to be done, what the estate owns and owes, what you have paid for out of your own pocket, and what each beneficiary has received.

Everything stays on your phone. There is no account to create and nothing is uploaded anywhere.

WHAT YOU GET

• A phase-by-phase executor checklist
Around 100 tasks grouped into seven stages — First week, Who to notify, Inventory and valuation, Probate administration, Debts and taxes, Distribution, and Closing the estate. Tick items off, mark the ones that don't apply, add notes, set a reminder on anything with a deadline, and add your own tasks. Progress bars show where you are in each phase and overall.

The checklist is free and unlimited, permanently. No ads to watch, no upgrade needed.

• An estate ledger
Record assets with photos and values, debts with their status, and distributions to each beneficiary along with a note of how they acknowledged receipt.

• Your own out-of-pocket expenses
This is the part most first-time executors lose track of. Log what you paid for personally, photograph the receipt, flag it as reimbursable, and the app keeps a running total of what the estate still owes you. It is on the home screen every time you open the app.

• A document vault Photograph the will, the death certificates, the grant of authority, statements and bills, filed by category. You can put the whole app behind your fingerprint or device PIN — these are the most sensitive documents you will ever carry around.

• A probate-ready PDF report
One tap produces a court-style document: a cover page, the asset inventory, an accounting summary (assets minus debts minus expenses equals distributable), your itemised expense-reimbursement claim with receipt thumbnails, the distribution record, and an appendix showing your checklist progress.
