About this app

Welding calculators that answer the questions you actually stop to work out on the shop floor — amperage, heat input, gas flow, stickout — with a full job and consumables log layered on top for anyone welding for money.

CALCULATORS
• Amperage — suggested starting amps from stock thickness, electrode or wire diameter and joint type
• Heat input — volts, amps and travel speed to kJ/mm, with arc energy alongside it
• Travel speed — work backwards from a target heat input
• Shielding gas flow — suggested CFH from process, nozzle size and how draughty the bay is
• Stickout and contact-tip-to-work distance guidance per process

JOB LOG
• One record per job: client, drawing or part number, process, position and material
• Filler, electrode, gas and arc hours recorded against the job
• Photos attached to the weld they belong to

CONSUMABLES AND CYLINDERS
• Track wire, rod and electrode stock as it is consumed
