The general function pursued by the operation of the Center for Studies and Documentation of the International Brigades (CEDOBI) is encouraging the memory of brigadiers and expand scientific knowledge of the International Brigades and the last Spanish civil war.

Recovery of documentary sources and oral conducting video interviews with members of the International Brigades, to their family members and those who had any relationship with them.
Facilitate access to archives playback obtaining documentation is held by individuals or dispersed in various archives and documentation centers.
Promote research through doctoral courses, seminars and supervision of doctoral theses.

Disclosure of what were the International Brigades in the context of the Spanish Civil War through the collection "The Light of Memory" held publications on this subject, through the Publications Service of the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
Knowledge of what were the International Brigades in the context of contemporary history and more specifically in the Spanish Civil War, among students of different levels of high school and has this been a page of our long-hidden and manipulated history.
Establishing links with character cultural and scientific organization dedicated to the study, dissemination and memory retrieval of the International Brigades from different countries.
