About this game

Imagzle is a game of mystery riddles built entirely around images. Every level shows you a picture: look at it closely, follow the clues it contains, and work out the answer. Some solutions will come from things you already know; the best ones come from figuring out where to look.

The important thing is not to know the answer, but to know how to find it!

WHAT KIND OF PUZZLES? Each riddle starts from an image and can lead anywhere: a painting, a rare animal, a musical instrument, a banknote, an old tool whose purpose you have to guess. Along the way you will pick up curious facts about history, art, geography, music, science and everyday objects, and you will train your memory, logic and problem-solving skills without noticing the effort.

Can you recognize an exotic animal from one photo? Name the philosopher with the mustache? Tell which instrument has only two strings? Figure out what that strange duck-shaped tool is for?

THE DAILY QUIZ Every day a fresh quiz is waiting for you. Solve it to build your streak, then come back tomorrow to keep the streak alive and earn rewards. One quiz a day, every day. How long can you last?

A COMPLETELY NEW DESIGN Imagzle has been redesigned from the ground up, with a cleaner and faster interface that puts the images front and center, so nothing stands between you and the riddle.

RESEARCH IS PART OF THE GAME When a riddle stumps you, you are not supposed to give up: you are supposed to investigate. Search the web, open an encyclopedia, or recruit the right person, whether that is a friend who reads sheet music, an uncle who birdwatches, or a cousin who loves heraldry. Solving together is half the fun, and the satisfaction of a hard-won answer is wonderfully contagious.

HOW TO PLAY Tap the colored circle to reveal the image, then work out the solution and type your answer. If you feel lost, spend hints to find the right path. Each correct answer unlocks new riddles, and the game grows along with your horizons.

Ratings and reviews

A nice game that I would describe as a "Google scavenger hunt," as I spent most of the time trying to figure out how to describe the picture to Google. :) However, the fact that there is no way to get more credits without purchasing them was a real turn-off for me. I spent all but 3 of them on the executioner, and I still couldn't find the answer. (He's obviously French. Why was that a hint?) The telegram link also wouldn't work. It was fun otherwise, and some of the puzzles were really clever!

The fun is in the journey. I love when I know an answer, but I love it even more when I don't. That's when the exploration begins, I may not always find the answer on the first or even 10th attempt, sometimes I just find myself learning about unrelated new subjects that I ran into along the way. And if I get really stuck, the hints give a fair lead or I just move into a different world for a change of scenery for a bit. Thank you for creating a game worthy of the time invested in playing.

I almost never review anything, but let me say that this game is endlessly charming, from the author's comments to the extremely genuine way the TOS is. I've always been a fan of puzzle games like this, and it's fantastic to find one with genuine heart (and zero ads randomly popping up), and the puzzles are genuinely intriguing and have you think outside the box. A great little game to sit down to and think about.
