DIGITAL LENDING - I&M BANK'S UNSECURED PERSONAL LOAN

The Unsecured personal loan is the unsecured instalment-based loan offered to existing I&M Bank customers that have been pre-scored/pre-approved to meet their short and medium term needs.
Unsecured loan features:
• Loan minimum limit amount KES 50,000
• Loan maximum limit amount KES 3,000,000.
• Processing fee Charged at 4% flat on the loan amount.
• Excise duty – 20% on the processing fee amount charged.
• Loan tenor Min 1 month – Max 60 months.
• Loan interest charged 14.8% pa.
• Credit life Insurance Fee 0.028% per month
Which customer is Eligible for a Personal Loan?
• A customer who has an active account with I&M Bank for a minimum period of six months will be eligible for a personal loan.
• An individual who is within the risk appetite threshold that has been set by the bank.
• Customer that has no non-performing loan facilities
• Customer that has passed all the eligibility business policy rules
The amount of one’s limit growth/reduction will depend on their savings and loan repayment behavior. Having a good loan repayment history, channeling your salary/Business proceeds will increase their chance of increased loan limit.
The customer’s loan instalment shall be recovered from operative/transactional account every due date.
The customer is at liberty to make early payments with no consequence to them in terms of penalties.

Ratings and reviews

This is the best banking app in Kenya without a doubt. You can do virtually almost everything on this app. I have two accounts which I operate within the app. I can even do forex exchange right on the app. The best thing about I and M is they try to lower the costs of their transactions. Free to mpesa for example. It's not predatory. I and M is the bank of the future I am not kidding. I have rarely had issues with the app and when you do customer service always sorts you out.

Happy to see that you've solved the downtime issues which was the biggest problem before. I do very much like how easily you can create a new account just through the app. I wish it had tap to pay for added convenience, hopefully it will be put sooner rather than later. Edit: Have to revise my review down to 1 star. This is to bring to your attention that not all transactions are reflecting in the transaction list which is a very serious issue that needs to be resolved with haste!

A very nice app! It's like having a bank in my hands. Whenever I want to do transactions, I can do it even in bed 🛏️. You can lock your money too and earn interest. I am blue 💙, and the color is very attractive to my eyes, so I feel connected to the bank. It's also a safe and secure bank to grow with. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants peace of mind about handling their banking needs.
