DIGITAL LENDING - I&M BANK'S UNSECURED PERSONAL LOAN

The Unsecured personal loan is the unsecured instalment-based loan offered to existing I&M Bank customers that have been pre-scored/pre-approved to meet their short and medium term needs.
Unsecured loan features:
• Loan minimum limit amount KES 50,000
• Loan maximum limit amount KES 3,000,000.
• Processing fee Charged at 4% flat on the loan amount.
• Excise duty – 20% on the processing fee amount charged.
• Loan tenor Min 1 month – Max 60 months.
• Loan interest charged 14.8% pa.
• Credit life Insurance Fee 0.028% per month
Which customer is Eligible for a Personal Loan?
• A customer who has an active account with I&M Bank for a minimum period of six months will be eligible for a personal loan.
• An individual who is within the risk appetite threshold that has been set by the bank.
• Customer that has no non-performing loan facilities
• Customer that has passed all the eligibility business policy rules
The amount of one’s limit growth/reduction will depend on their savings and loan repayment behavior. Having a good loan repayment history, channeling your salary/Business proceeds will increase their chance of increased loan limit.
The customer’s loan instalment shall be recovered from operative/transactional account every due date.
The customer is at liberty to make early payments with no consequence to them in terms of penalties.

I’m currently unable to send money to some M-Pesa numbers through the app. It keeps showing ā€œinvalid phone numberā€ even when the number is correct. This seems to happen mostly with the new Safaricom numbers starting with 0118 and 0119. Kindly update the system to support these new number ranges. It’s quite inconvenient.

I mean it's a bank...that stores people's money...and the whole point is that you're able to withdraw your funds at any time. Personally I wouldn't recommend to use it. I had some funds in my account, withdrew from the app to mpesa...the funds were deducted from my account, but I didn't receive the funds in my Mpesa. Called support...waited for 30 minutes didn't talk to anyone. Wrote an email, they responded saying how sorry they were...but still no funds.

Hello Emmanuel, sorry to hear about your experience with our OTG Mobile Banking Services. We did experience a degradation that impacted account to Mpesa transfers. The failed transactions have since been reversed. If you are yet to receive a reversal, we request that your share the transaction details via our Whatsapp number - 0710282828.^ MAO

The most sophisticated bank app with all services available on the app. You can swiftly do local an international transaction. Invest in the bank MMF and keep track of your portfolio. Access loans, apply credit cards and (sales agents reach out) and manage cards and not to forget statements. just wow!!
