Ratings and reviews

While the app has always had its flaws, there was at least some sort of team in the background. That is no more so any and all bugs\issues will probably be here to stay plus whatever else comes. Since the buyout there have been other controversies but the app as it is now is close to if not already dead. Also the ads, my god, the ads...

Joined imgur in 2011; I am a longtime contributor. App is basically worthless at this point. Only through desktop browser + adblocker was I able to browse without errors or crashing. Even on desktop, just this week notifications stopped working. It's a shame what this site has devolved into, as it was a close-knit community in the early-to-mid 2010's. Shame.

App is relatively easy to use and functions about the same as on a desk top. Upload of pictures takes a little longer but that might be due to my phone service. Edit July 27, 2025 - this app has become something that is no longer fun to use. It is now full of ads, won't refresh properly, full of bots and now, the older core community is leaving. It was also bought by MediaLabs so I expect things to get worse. edit 8/25/25 - yep, it got worse. It's currently in meltdown mode.
