RO-SAR is the application for coordinating search and rescue (SAR) operations in the event of civil aviation accidents, developed for the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The application is intended for professional field crews (ISU, Mountain Rescue, police, gendarmerie) and civilian volunteers involved in search missions, providing a real-time operational image of the forces and the intervention area.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
• Real-time GPS tracking – the crews’ position is continuously transmitted to the command center during the mission, in order to monitor the explored area of the field.
• Background tracking – the application can transmit the position even when running in the background or with the screen off, while the mission is active, displaying a permanent notification.
• Operational map – displaying your own position and the search area established by the coordinator.
• Event reporting – transmission of operational markers from the field (e.g. crew in danger, aircraft located, victim identification), automatically accompanied by the coordinates of the location.
• Notifications – real-time receipt of messages from the command center.
• Offline operation – when the mobile connection is missing, the data is retained locally and transmitted automatically when the signal is restored.
ACCESS
RO-SAR is an operational application, not a general-purpose one. Access is based on a code issued by the mission coordinator; no accounts are created in the application.
