About this app

irlmap.live puts your IRL stream on the map. The app sends your phone's location in the background while you stream on Twitch, so your viewers can follow along with GPS overlays, chat commands and a live map. Your phone can stay in your pocket and you can use other apps.

YOUR LOCATION, ONLY WHILE YOU'RE LIVE
Nothing is recorded unless you're live on Twitch. Locations sent while you're offline are thrown away straight away, never stored.

PRIVACY CONTROLS FOR STREAMERS
• Dead zones: mark places like your home or hotel, and your position is hidden inside them
• Stream delay: overlays and the map follow your stream delay, so chat can't get ahead of you
• Pause: hide your location with one tap, right from the app
• Public map on or off: choose whether other people can find your stream on irlmap.live

WHAT YOUR VIEWERS SEE
• Map overlays for OBS in several styles, plus speed, distance, altitude, weather, local time, compass and more
• Chat commands for Nightbot, StreamElements and other bots: !location, !speed, !distance, !weather, !time, !eta
• Set a destination from your phone and show the distance and arrival time on stream
• Every stream becomes a route you can download as GPX or KML

BUILT FOR THE STREET
• Runs in the background with the screen off
• Choose how often to send: every few seconds, or every few metres moved
• Locations are queued if you lose signal and sent when you're back online
• Shows whether you're live and when your last location went through

GETTING STARTED
1. Log in with Twitch in the app, or scan the pairing QR code from Settings on irlmap.live
2. Tap Start sending
3. Add your overlays and chat commands at irlmap.live

The app uses the same account as irlmap.live. Your units, delay, dead zones and overlays are set up on the website and apply straight away.

A note on location: the app needs "Allow all the time" location access to keep sending while you use other apps or the screen is off. A notification shows whenever it's sending, and you can stop it at any time.
