Not sure if what I've experienced is the app itself or employers not using indeed at all. I have created profiles with Monster, Career builder and indeed. I have received follow up calls on applications through Monster and Careerbuilder but not a single follow up with indeed. Some of the listing on indeed are the exact same on the other websites so I'm a little unsure as to the usefulness of this app. I guess look for a job you like on indeed and see if it's listed on another app and apply there.
I just started using this app about 3 weeks ago. It's easy to use, the updates are helpful and the organization is great for someone like me who is a bit OCD. I haven't found a new job yet but I know that's not in deeds fault. However this app has been beneficial for knowing where to look for new jobs. I also like that it tells me when my resume matches a job, that saves me time.
This site gives individuals the opportunity to find job openings that they may not be able to if they are not posted in the newspaper. It also keeps your resume on record so you don't have to continually write it out over and over. It also posts your resume for employers to look through and find you and offer you jobs. Plus gives you an enormous area of opportunities to find work in other towns and cities that would not be listed in your area.
I received a lot of job offers, and found a good job here. It will work for the motivated and eager to work. If you cant spell correctly and don't know how to put words together, then you may not be offered a job, like other resumes I've read. Indeed makes it very easy. People contact YOU and ask if you will work for them. Love it!
Love it, this app isn't like most of the other job website or apps that are out there indeed is very well organized, make it easy to use, always have help when needed, I love that they say where jobs are located, has the job posting and what we would have to do. I also like how they brake down the job posting so it fits your resume I like that you can talk to the people right on hear. I've got most of my jobs through indeed I don't even look in the news paper for jobs anymore
Pro(s): Filter option is decent, being able to narrow down location, distance, role etc. Easy to use and user friendly UI. Con(s): Needs to be more 'apply from phone' choices, particularly concerning jobs in rural areas, but I guess that's the employer's responsibility, which brings me onto moderation... there are many misleading offers scattered throughout regarding wages, specifics such as exact location of jobs that should be looked into. Other than that... it's not bad for what it is.
