Taranis is INDEPRO's official app for protecting Spanish citizens from heavy rain, river flooding, and other flood events. When the weather worsens, Taranis takes action: it alerts you, shows you safe areas, and guides you there, avoiding risk zones.

🚨 REAL-TIME ALERTS

Receive official alerts the moment they are issued, without intermediaries or delays. Alerts are automatically categorized by severity level, type of weather phenomenon, and affected geographic area. View the complete history of past events and configure push notifications to receive only what you need: all alerts or only critical ones.

🗺️ MULTI-LAYER INTERACTIVE MAPS

Taranis integrates the most relevant map layers for flood safety onto a single screen:

• AEMET active alert map with coverage by region across Spain.

• Real-time precipitation radar with rain animation (RainViewer). • Hydrological map showing the current status of rivers, reservoirs, and gauging stations.

• Flood risk layers T10, T100, and T500 from the IDEE (Spatial Data Infrastructure of Spain), showing areas that may be affected based on different return periods.

Activate or deactivate each layer depending on the situation to always have the right information.

🛡️ SAFE ROUTES TO SHELTERS

Taranis' most unique feature is its route validation engine for flood zones:

• Automatically calculates the route to the nearest shelter or safe point to your location.

• Analyzes each segment of the route against the IDEE's T100 flood risk layer.

• Discards or highlights segments that cross potentially flooded areas.

• Always prioritizes the safest route, not the shortest.

• Displays point-by-point visual risk indicators during navigation.

📡 REAL-TIME HYDROLOGICAL SENSORS

Check the current status of the main gauging stations, rivers, and basins in Spain. View flow levels, accumulated rainfall, and rising or falling trends. Each sensor has a detailed record with historical readings to understand the evolution of risk.

🏛️ SHELTER AND SAFE POINT LOCATION

Taranis displays the nearest official shelters to your current location on the map. For each one, it provides detailed information—address, capacity, and status—and calculates the safest route to it, validated against flood-prone areas.

🔔 NOTIFICATIONS AND CUSTOMIZATION

• Push alerts with sound and vibration, configurable independently.

• Critical alerts only mode to avoid unnecessary interruptions.

• Daily morning weather summary.

• Biometric lock to protect access to your account.

• Interface available in Spanish and English.

🔒 PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Your account is protected with email verification. Your location data is used only on the device to calculate routes and is never stored on external servers. You can request the complete deletion of your account and all your data at any time from Settings or the SATI website.
