About this game

Cortexfall is an offline cyberpunk roguelike where every move matters. Descend into procedurally generated sectors, adapt your build to what you find, and fight the machines that seized the heart of the Grid. Nine modes revolve around turn-based tactics. The tenth, Overrun, drops deliberate turns for real-time survival.

PLAN EVERY MOVE

Navigate sectors packed with laser gates, explosive barrels, teleport pads, destructible walls, and ruthless machines. Break enemy line of sight, lure them into hazards, trigger chain explosions, and save your EMP for when things go bad. Four boss archetypes await, each with its own second phase and signature threat.

SHAPE YOUR OPERATIVE

Choose one of four distinct classes. Pick a weapon and an ability before the run, then collect chips, grenades, and augments as you go. Pierce enemy lines with a Railgun, strike from stealth with a Pulse Blade, hack an enemy and turn it against its allies, or deploy a combat drone.

MAKE EVERY REAL RUN COUNT

Real runs, contracts, and achievements reward credits, Neuro-Cores, and more. Unlock new classes, weapons, abilities, skins, and permanent upgrades. Complete daily and weekly contracts, build weapon and ability mastery, uncover Codex entries, collect achievements, and improve your local records. Log at least five runs in a month to receive a detailed recap of how you played.

DESIGNED FOR OFFLINE PLAY

No account or internet connection is needed for gameplay. Play in English or Czech, with adjustable difficulty, controls, and text size. Accessibility options include colorblind-friendly palettes, a high-contrast grid, reduced motion, and a photosensitivity-safe mode.

The Grid rewrites itself after every fall. Learn, refine your build, and see how much deeper you can go next time.

What’s new

• Added Performance Mode for every game mode, including Overrun; after sustained frame drops, the game offers to enable it once.
• Optimized turn-based board rendering and animations to reduce stutter and unnecessary GPU load.
• Fixed enemies visually snapping backward during attacks, EMPs, abilities, and grenade use.
• Added Rate and Share options to ABOUT; the native review request now recognizes previous Cortex progress, while sharing is more reliable.
