Infinitum Arc represents a comprehensive reimagining of the digital card-sharing, architecture, and contact management system.
Digital Business Cards (.mpdc)
Proprietary format — Infinitum Arc introduces its own multimedia digital card file format. Cards are self-contained, offline-renderable documents. The format is compatible with the parent D.C. Infinitum web application with no conversion layer required.
Card Versions — Each contact can have up to 10 named card versions. Each version is independently shareable. The default version is flagged explicitly.
Field Selection per Version — When creating a card version, a field selector lets you choose exactly which contact fields appear on that card. An "All / None" toggle is included for speed.
Card Naming — Each card version can be given a custom file name at creation time.
Card Repository — All received and saved .mpdc cards are organized in a dedicated Card Repository screen, accessible from the contacts header.
Card Categories — Cards in the repository can be assigned to color-coded categories.
Gallery Carousel
Each contact can have a personal gallery of up to 20 images stored locally. Up to 10 images (configurable) are embedded into the digital card.
Carousel position is configurable: above or below the main card content.
An optional carousel label can be set per contact.
Peer-to-Peer Sync
Infinitum Arc's contact subscription system is a fully decentralized, relay-based WebSocket network with no central server.
Profile updates are applied immediately when received.
Proximity Mass Contact Exchange (Radar)
The Radar screen enables direct device-to-device contact exchange over Bluetooth and WiFi using Nearby Connections (P2P_CLUSTER strategy).
Every device simultaneously advertises and discovers, forming a self-healing mesh. No pairing or server is required.
Contact Groups
Contacts can belong to one or more named, color-coded groups simultaneously.
Favorites
Any contact can be pinned to the Favorites section that appears at the top of the contacts list, above the alphabetical sections.
Favorites are toggled via a star button in the contact detail App Bar or a long-press on the contact tile.
Stay-in-Touch Reminders & Special Days
Each contact supports multiple named special days (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) with configurable lead-time reminders (days before the event).
Backup & Restore
Full backup exports all contact information and restores the snapshot perfectly.
INSERT OR REPLACE - conflict resolution preserves original contact and group IDs, preventing duplicates on repeated restores.
QR Code Sharing
Every contact and card version has a QR code sheet accessible from the detail screen and the card viewer.
Native Address Book Bridge
Contacts can be imported from the device's native address book (one-way pull) or exported to it (one-way push).
Duplicate detection on import uses multi-field scoring: phone (0.50 weight), email (0.45), and name similarity (0.25), with a 0.75 threshold.
15 Color Themes
Infinitum Arc ships with 15 switchable color themes, each with a paired dark and light variant (30 total combinations).
The default theme is Cosmic Purple dark.
🔒 Privacy
No central server.
All contact data is stored locally on-device.
P2P sync data is encrypted and pseudonymous.
.mpdc files contain only the fields explicitly selected by the card creator. Sensitive fields can be excluded from any card version.
