About this game

IW Backgammon is the classic board game, played by the full rules and made to be calm, quick and fair.

PLAY YOUR WAY
• Against the computer at three levels: Easy, Medium and Hard
• Pass & Play with a friend on the same phone or tablet
• A single game, or a match to 3, 5, 7, 9 or 11 points

THE REAL RULES
• The doubling cube: offer, take, drop and redouble
• Gammons and backgammons
• Match play with the Crawford rule
• Only legal moves are allowed, and the points a checker can reach are highlighted

MADE FOR PLAYING
• Tap or drag to move, tap the dice to swap them, and undo within your turn
• Leave whenever you like: your match is saved, and Continue picks it up
• Optional automatic rolls and forced moves
• Sound and vibration, each with its own switch
• Stats: wins and losses, gammons, your match history and your dice against the odds

FAIR DICE
The dice come from your device's secure random generator. They are rolled only after you have decided, and saved at once, so leaving a game can never reroll them.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Works completely offline: the app has no internet permission
• No ads, no accounts, no tracking
• No data collected: your games and stats stay on your device

FOR EVERY SCREEN AND EVERY PLAYER
• Layouts for phones, tablets and foldables
• Works with large text and Talkback
• Follows your device's "remove animations" setting

What’s new

New look. Play in portrait or landscape on any phone or tablet: choose Auto, Portrait or Landscape in Settings. Done and Undo are now on the board: when your move is complete, a ✓ appears on your dice; tap them to end your turn. ↶ in the tray takes back a move. And the app is now called Backgammon by IW.
