Photo too large for an upload form or email attachment? Image Compress helps you reduce photo file size, work toward a target in KB or MB, and compare the result before saving.
Compress a single photo or process 30 photos per batch. Choose a quality preset for a quick start, or enter a custom target size when an upload has a file size limit.
SET A TARGET SIZE IN KB OR MB
Choose a preset such as 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB, or enter a custom target. Each result shows whether your target was met. The size you can achieve depends on the original photo, output format and selected settings; a requested size is not guaranteed.
BATCH PHOTO COMPRESSION
Prepare multiple photos in one run, follow processing progress and review the original and compressed file sizes. Start another batch whenever you need to compress more images.
COMPARE BEFORE YOU SAVE
Use the before-and-after slider and zoom controls to inspect your photo. See the file size and space saved for each output before saving or sharing it.
KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL PHOTOS
Original files are not overwritten. Larger conversions are discarded rather than saved as compressed results. Save output copies to your device or share them with another app.
CHOOSE YOUR COMPRESSION SETTINGS
Select High Quality, Balanced or Smallest to balance file size and image quality. Use Auto format or select JPG or PNG. Auto chooses a suitable output format, including WebP for images with transparency.
PROCESS PHOTOS ON YOUR PHONE
Your photos are processed locally and are not uploaded for compression. The optional metadata setting removes supported embedded location and personal metadata from output copies. It is enabled by default and does not remove information visible in a photo or its filename.
USE SMALLER PHOTOS FOR EVERYDAY TASKS
Prepare photos for online forms, reduce email attachment sizes, share smaller files and save storage space. Check each result against your upload requirements before submitting it.
