iZurvive provides you with DayZ and Arma 3 maps, lets you place tactical markers (player positions, tents, meeting points,..) on it and automatically shares those markers with the friends in your group - without the need for accounts, a registration or other services! Furthermore it provides a loot-map for DayZ.

good app, super helpful. I prefer to use it without the loot labeled and treat it more like a paper map. makes it fun to figure out exactly where I am and use intuition to find things like water pumps/medicals/etc... based on the way the map looks. increases the immersion a lot and lets you plan where you want to go.

There's just no way to play DayZ without this app. it may not be as crucial nowadays since they've added, '"you are here" markers on the trailhead maps. Most custom servers offer maps that actually show where you are (and even what direction you are facing). iZurvive is still a priceless, powerful tool especially when you're in a group and you can all look and see where people and base locations are. It is excellent for community servers to show where they've added things on the map.

DayZ player here. Maps are very accurate and helpful. For a solo player this is a dream. Easy to filter loot you want to show and hide. Groups can be made and markers can be placed on the map for your group to see. It's confusing to place markers at first but you'll get used to it. Solo players get it too. Only one ad at the bottom of the screen. Great, easy to use app.
