Artham(അര്‍ത്ഥം) is a lite version of Olam dictionary (https://olam.in). It is completely offline, has the largest database with over 2,15,600+ definitions, yet being the smallest app in the Google Play Store. It also has an intelligent clipboard capture system to easily bring the meaning of the word you are looking for.


BIGGEST

Artham has a huge database with over 2,15,600+ definitions. This includes words, phrases and idioms. It is powered by the "Olam English-Malayalam dataset" developed by Kailash Nadh. It is an open source growing crowd sourced database. All the credits for the database goes to him.

SMALLEST

Artham is the smallest offline English Malayalam dictionary in Play Store. It is not just small, it is incredibly small. Highly sophisticated encoding is performed on the primary database to bring down the size. The APK is just 2.55 MB and after installation the total size is 4.44 MB. The RAM is usage is near to 12 MB but the app can be completely cached by Android OS. So it will be super smooth.

CUTEST

App is designed appying Material Design principles by Google. It is has a very simple and straight forward interface. Suggestions are welcome to improve the user experience.

SMARTEST

Artham has an intelligent clipboard capture system which automatically detects the word you copied just before you open the app and fills it in the search box for you. So you are only one click away from fetching the meaning rather than typing the entire word struggling with the spelling.

OFFLINE

Artham is completely offline. It doesn't even ask any permission during the installation. It is simply because it doesn't need internet or any advanced facilities of phone to work. And ofcourse there is no annoying advertisements.

Very good app. When i am studying when i don't know the word i search in this app. I am using app for 1or2 years. When our network data is expired i use this app. I love this app. This is not for study for also this is also for communication. When we don't know to say a word we can use sound with out any internet connection i will priscribe to my freinds and they also downloaded. Better than all other apps. Other apps want internet but i love soo much. Very good app.

it's very useful. now i can identity the malayalam word from english . I became a translator because of Artham Malayalam Dictionary. it also helps in my studies also. this app does not have any draw backs ,i only sends positive reviews for this app. Thankyou
