About this app

SAM.gov tells you a federal contract exists. It will not tell you what is in the two hundred pages attached to it, and it will not tell you when the deadline moves.

InstantSam reads the whole package.

WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES

Open any federal solicitation and InstantSam downloads every attachment, reads the PDFs and Word documents in full, and gives you back:

- The scope of work, in plain language
- Every mandatory requirement, with the sentence it came from
- How the bid is evaluated
- What would make your offer non-responsive
- The risks worth knowing before you commit an evening

Every requirement is quoted from the document. You are not asked to trust a summary.

IT OPENS ON WHAT CHANGED, NOT A SEARCH BOX

Most tools open on a list and wait for you to go looking. By then the amendment landed on Tuesday and the deadline moved.

InstantSam opens on what needs a decision today: amendments to bids you are watching, deadlines inside the week, and closed bids with no result recorded.

AMENDMENTS, WHICH IS WHERE BIDS ARE LOST

A solicitation is a moving target. SAM.gov posts an amendment as an entirely new notice and never tells you it replaced the one you read. InstantSam links them and tells you what changed, in plain words, the same day. One solicitation we tracked had eleven versions in five weeks.

WHETHER YOU CAN BID IT AT ALL

Save your NAICS codes and set-aside statuses once. After that every solicitation opens with a straight answer: strong match, worth a look, or probably not, with the reasons underneath. Each one traces to your codes, your status, or the clock.

THE REST

- Search and filter every open federal opportunity
- Saved searches that alert you the morning a match is posted, and that tell you when they are catching too much or nothing at all
- A deadline calendar, including the date questions close, which is almost never in the SAM.gov listing because it is written inside an attachment
- A compliance checklist of every "shall submit" and "must include", with the disqualifying ones marked
- Certification reminders at 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before an 8(a), WOSB, HUBZone or SDVOSB status expires
- Award outcomes: who won what you bid on, and what they were paid
- The Recompete Radar: contracts in your trade and your states that expire in six to eighteen months, with the incumbent and the value, before anything is solicited
- A pipeline shared with your team, with proposal drafts kept against the bid

INSTANTSAM IS NOT SAM.GOV

InstantSam is a privately operated commercial software service from InstantSam LLC. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or operated by the United States Government, the General Services Administration, or the System for Award Management. SAM.gov is a free service of the US Government and you can register and search there at no cost. What you pay InstantSam for is the software: the document analysis, the amendment monitoring, the matching, the alerts and the pipeline.

Opportunity and registration data comes from SAM.gov. Award and spending data comes from USASpending.gov. Both are public US government sources.

AI analysis is a research aid, not legal or contractual advice. Always confirm requirements and deadlines against the official notice on SAM.gov before you bid.

What’s new

iPad support. InstantSam now runs properly on iPad, with a readable column rather than a stretched phone layout, so a two hundred page solicitation review is actually comfortable to read at a desk.

Also in this release:
- The deadline calendar now shows the date questions close, pulled out of the attachments
- Wage determination warnings on notices covered by the Service Contract Act or Davis-Bacon
- A failed load now says so, instead of showing an empty list
