DocuExec Face Authentication is a secure companion application used exclusively by the DocuExec digital document signing platform to complete legally compliant electronic signatures (eSign). This application is not a standalone app and cannot be used independently. It is automatically invoked during the signing
workflow initiated from the DocuExec web application or integrated enterprise client systems. Purpose This application securely connects the DocuExec platform with licensed eSign Service Providers (ESPs), including: Protean eSign
These providers perform mandatory face authentication as required under Indian digital signature regulatory guidelines issued by the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA). How It Works 1. The user initiates document signing from the DocuExec web platform or an integrated client application. 2. DocuExec invokes this application via a secure intent/deep link to connect with a CCA-licensed ESP. 3. Only a cryptographic document hash (not the document itself) is transmitted for signing. 4. Face authentication is performed using the official ESP SDK within a secure session. 5. Upon successful verification, the digitally signed hash is returned to the originating platform. 6. The signing process is completed on the DocuExec server environment. Important Clarifications • This application does not access or store the original document. • The app does not perform biometric processing independently. • All identity verification and biometric validation are handled entirely by the licensed ESP SDK within a regulated framework. • The application functions purely as a secure technical bridge between browser-based workflow and ESP SDK execution.
