Gaddani Karigar is a specialized mobile application built to support tailoring employees (karigars) working within Gaddani’s in-house production system. The app is designed to make everyday tailoring work easier, faster, and more accurate by digitalizing the process of scanning products, filling tailoring forms, and updating job status. With Gaddani Karigar, employees can focus on their craftsmanship while the app takes care of tracking details and reporting.

Seamless QR Code Scanning
One of the core features of the app is camera-based QR code scanning. Each product or garment has a unique QR code printed on its tag. By simply pointing the phone’s camera at the code, the karigar can instantly pull up all the related product details, measurements, and tailoring instructions. This eliminates the need for manual searching, reduces errors, and saves time on the shop floor.

Digital Tailoring Form
After scanning, the karigar is presented with a digital Tailoring Form. This form is tailored to the needs of the tailoring process and may include fields such as measurements (chest, waist, sleeve length, inseam), stitch or alteration requirements, customer notes, deadlines, and quality checks. Employees can update these fields directly on their mobile device, ensuring that the information is captured accurately and stored securely. The form also allows optional photo attachments, so karigars can upload pictures of their work, completed garments, or highlight any defects for review.

Work Status Updates
The app allows employees to easily update their progress with just a few taps. Status options include “In Progress,” “Paused,” “Completed,” or “Requires Review.” Each status update is synced with the Gaddani backend system, which enables managers to have real-time visibility of production activities. This reduces the need for paper tracking and manual reporting, while improving communication between employees and supervisors.

Offline Functionality
Recognizing that stable internet may not always be available on the factory floor, Gaddani Karigar is built with offline support. Product details accessed through QR scans are temporarily cached, allowing employees to continue their work without interruption. Once the device reconnects to the internet, the data automatically syncs with the central system.
