The Book Inventory application is used to manage the loan of books, magazines, and brochures in a bookstore, library, school, etc. To use the application, you must first create an Excel spreadsheet with three columns: Book Title, Author, and Quantity. Under each column, enter the book title, then the author, and finally the number of books available. Save this Excel file as BookInventory.csv. It is very important that you save it as a .csv file. Once saved, email this file to the Android device where the application will be installed. After sending the file to your mobile device, download it. These files will be located in your device's Downloads folder. Locate this file and move it to the folder in your phone's internal storage: Documents/BookInventory/Inventory, which was automatically created when you installed the application on your device. There you will find the InventarioLibro.csv file that you created with Excel.
After installing the application and pressing the Home screen, you will be on the application's main panel. Look for the Update Inventory card and you will see the file located in the path: Documents/InventarioLibro/Inventario. Select it and the database will load into the application. If you go to the Edit Book card and press the magnifying glass, all the books in the database you created with Excel will be displayed.
In the Add User card, you can add users to whom you can lend books.
In the Edit User card, you can locate a created user and update their information or delete them.
In the Edit Book card, you can search for a book by its title and see the number of books, which ones are checked out, which ones are available, and which users have that book checked out.
If the book you are looking for is not registered, you can add it to the database. In the Loan section, you can search for a book by name, search for a user by their unique ID, and lend the book to the user if it's available.
In the User folder, you can search for a user by their ID, and their information and all the books they have checked out will appear. You can then select which books they want to return.
In the Export & Reminders section, you can export the book inventory to an email or messaging service, export the inventory of users with outstanding loans, and send an email to a user reminding them to return a book.
